Teach in Asia program seeks Kentucky applicants for summer program in Taiwan – Kentucky Teacher

The Asia Institute-Crane House is offering an opportunity for Kentucky teachers to visit Taiwan to foster cross-cultural relationships and to promote academic exchanges.
This year’s program runs from June 27 to July 23. Asia Institute-Crane House has partnered with educational institutes in the Taiwanese cities of Kaohsiung and Hualien to offer intensive classes five days a week.
Knowledge of an Asian language is not a requirement for the program, but there are a few qualifications:
- Qualified with TESOL, TESL, TEFL, or other related credentials in English teaching
- Individuals must be able to effectively convey new ideas through creative instruction
- Classroom teaching experience in an academic setting is highly desirable, but documented non-classroom, non-academic instruction experience may be assessed as a substitute qualification.
- Individuals should be interested in Asian cultures
- Participants should be able to work as part of a team
Participants are only responsible for travel costs.
