It was confirmed by the Sharks on Sunday that they had successfully secured the signature of Springbok centre Francois Venter from troubled Premiership club Worcester Warriors.

Venter joined Worcester from the Cheetahs in 2018, but will now head back to South Africa to join a team filled with national stars.
It’s a particularly astute signing at a time when Lukhanyo Am is out with a serious knee injury, and with the Sharks lacking a specialist outside centre.
Venter, who last played for the Springboks in December 2017, is free to leave Worcester after the club was placed into administration and suspended from all competitions by the Rugby Football Union.
