Returning film series hopes to ‘reel’ in audiences at El Camino

After a two-year break, the El Camino College Center for the Arts will host four films at the Marsee Auditorium this fall semester, as part of the Discovery World Travel Adventure Film Series.
All four films will have two scheduled screenings with showtimes at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to accommodate different schedules.
Online ticket sales will be available to purchase on the El Camino College Center for the Arts website until four hours before the scheduled event start time. Same-day tickets will be available at the ticket office one hour before the event starts.
The directors for each film are also scheduled to attend their respective events to present and discuss their films with the audience to enhance their viewing experience.
The first film in the series, “Tropical & Exotic Asia” directed by Marlin Darrah, will be presented on Monday, Sept. 19 and will highlight the journey across southeast Asian countries including scenes of nature and the bustling city life.
“The Road to Namibia” by director Rick Ray, will be presented on Monday, Oct. 1. It explores the beauty of Namibia and other African countries.
On Monday, Nov. 14, “Forest Giants” directed by Gray Warriner, will showcase a search for the giant sequoia tree, taking viewers around various states in America.
“On Assignment: Baja California” directed by Rich Reid, will be presented on Monday, Dec. 12 to close out the series.
