Travellers flying out of Auckland Airport’s international terminal won’t be going hungry these holidays.
The airport says 92% of dining options in the terminal have now reopened, after many closed due to low passenger numbers during Covid-19 and subsequent staffing issues caused by the Omicron outbreak.
When borders started to reopen in March, Auckland Airport encouraged travellers to bring their own snacks due to the limited availability. And as recently as August, travellers departing in the evening reported only a few food options were open.
But since then, there have been several notable reopenings, including fast food favourite KFC and Silk Road, a restaurant offering pan-Asian dishes, both located before security.

And after security, travellers can enjoy a bite from the recently reopened Popo Dumplings or Better Burger.
