‘It will be very tough but we will be ready again’ – Vera Pauw insists Ireland squad focused on World Cup mission

Ireland will launch an extensive three-person scouting mission to check out their possible World Cup play-off opponents, but Vera Pauw has insisted that her side fear nobody.

cotland and Austria meet in Hampden Park next Thursday to decide who will face Ireland for one of two automatic European play-off spots for next year’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Pauw will detail a staff member to specifically analyse Austria, one to debrief the Scots, while assistant Tom Elmes will be there to devise a match strategy for the Irish women chasing their first major tournament qualification.
