NEOM’s new luxury island Sindalah is positioned to compete with prominent international tourist destinations like Monaco and Athens with its year-round luxury amenities. One of the most significant initiatives supporting Saudi Arabia’s national tourist plan is NEOM, the $500 billion innovative metropolis, as the country gradually diversifies its economy after being reliant on oil for many years.
The CEO of NEOM, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, stated that the hanging stadiums in the smart city would cause visitors to reinvent and picture the future in November at the World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit.
As he unveiled the newest project to enhance Saudi Arabia’s tourism economy, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said that Sindalah will be home to superyachts and high-end homes.
One of the islands being built as part of the giga-project, Sindalah, will have an area of about 840,000 square meters. Three thousand five hundred jobs are predicted to be created in the tourist, hospitality, and leisure sectors.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the island will offer unique maritime experiences and act as a significant Red Sea gateway. Early 2024 is when it is projected that guests will start arriving.
